HOW I WORK BREIF INTRO
Hi. i am Sam Leatherbarrow.
As an artist i go by the alias "Scythmedia", I create digital 2D and 3D sculptures in my work and use them to create an environment.

I create my 3d pieces in multiple different ways. For less complex pieces i sculpt my work in a free online app named blender.
For my more complex pieces i sculpt my work in the real world first (normally using clay), I then 3d scan these pieces and import them into editing software (such as pixelmator) to create textures and add colours.
I normally work within the proportions of 500px x 500px.
This is because i create my art in response to music and like to work within the proportions of typical album art.
Throughout my time at University studying Fine art i became fascinated by Synesthesia and the link between the neurology of music and the senses. I try to implement this in to my work by exploring the ability to visualise sound.
I have worked with various musical artists from the UK, Miami and Los Angeles to develop my practice.
